The Restore Ballymacraven River Association are thrilled to announce our first RBRA Photography Competition : Our Rivers in Focus 2026! We are inviting photographers of all levels to showcase the breathtaking beauty of the Ballymacraven and Inagh Rivers, Co. Clare.

Taking a Closer Look

Our rivers are ever-changing, offering endless inspiration and beauty.  Even the everyday holds something extraordinary waiting to be seen. Whether it’s the rushing water of the lower Ballymacraven, a dipper balanced on the edge of a mossy rock, or the delicate lichens draped on hawthorn trees.  From babbling brooks to rushing waterfalls, our rivers provide the perfect canvas for capturing nature’s magic.

We welcome all types of nature photography, from sweeping landscapes to intimate close-ups.

Prize and Deadline Details

There will be one overall winner who will receive a ____TBC_________... 

Featured photographs will be displayed in a local showcase to show off the beauty of our very own rivers. 

The winner will be chosen by a judging panel whose decision will be final.  Keep an eye on our social media platforms for our feature favourites.
