A Series of 6 Free Biodiversity Lectures.
Join the Restore Ballymacraven River Association (RBRA) for 6 Free Lectures based on a range of topics surrounding biodiversity and rivers. Dive into the dynamic world of rivers and the life they sustain. Join leading scientists and passionate conservationists to discuss river restoration, rare species and salmonid ecology, understanding the vital role rivers play in our planet’s health. This lecture series will be co-hosted by the RBRA and Local Authorities Water Programme (LAWPRO), and has been supported by the Community Development Grant Scheme. Lecture Schedule as follows:
23rd September: An Update on the Restore Ballymacraven River Association
30th September: Salmonids of the Inagh and Ballymacraven Rivers
7th October: Bringing Salmon Home – What We Can Do To Help - Salmon Watch Ireland
14th October: Reading the River - Using Bioindicators to Understand the Health of Our Rivers
21st October: The Upgrade of the Ballymacraven Water Treatment Plant & the Ballymacraven River - Irish Water / Uisce Éireann
28th October: The Future of Irish Rivers- A Panel Discussion
